L.E.K.’s Senior Associate Consultant role within the Life Science Practice, offers exposure to multiple industry sectors and a wide variety of commercial challenges. This allows you to apply your technical bioscience background within the business environment. The nature and pace of L.E.K.’s strategic work facilitates the rapid development of a highly analytical skill-set.

Senior Associate Consultants are responsible for leading modules of the project work and driving analytical insights. Senior Associate Consultants work alongside the senior members of the case team to help define initial hypotheses, direct and quality control the team’s research and analytical work, and produce fact-based and analytical robust conclusions. Senior Associate Consultants will gain client exposure in high-profile situations, through valuation analyses, business planning, and support opportunities.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Conducting primary data collection on markets, competitors and customers through databases and Internet searches, market research and other commercial reports, internal client data and telephone and in-person interviews.
  • Performing rigorous strategic and financial analyses that will be utilized to determine L.E.K.’s recommendations to the client. Examples include developing a market model of growth and competitor share, developing a valuation model for a company or product using discounted cash flow analysis, determining customer sensitivity to products attributes using discounted cash flow analysis, or determining probability distribution of acquisition value.
  • Collaborating with project team members to derive trends, conclusions and recommendations based upon the analysis. An Associate Consultant must transform what he or she has learned in thoughtful insights regarding the client’s strategic direction
