Job Description

We are looking for a passionate payroll professional to join our dynamic, international team as a Payroll Manager, Europe. This new role will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations across five countries in Europe: UK, Spain, Paris, Germany and Poland. Reporting directly to the CPO this role would also have a dotted lined to our Commercial Finance Director and be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of payroll across our offices, process improvement and ensuring we increase operational efficiency in this space.

 

Key Responsibilities

¡  Lead the end-to-end delivery of the payrolls for our offices in London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Wroclaw and Warsaw

¡  Collaborate with People, Finance, and Legal teams to align payroll processes with overall business objectives.

¡  Lead and mentor local Payroll support team providing guidance and training for their professional development.

¡   Ensure compliance with local payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements in the designated countries, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

¡  Ensure compliance with relevant Group, regional and local processes, policies and controls and provide reporting as needed to support any internal or external audit requirements

¡  Perform controls in accordance with SOX framework.

¡  Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve consistency, accuracy and efficiency across our operations.

¡  Develop sustainable processes and systems to support L.E.K as we grow, leveraging technology as required.

¡  Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll data, maintaining data integrity and accuracy of employee records.

¡  Build and maintain relationships with external payroll vendors and service providers.

Qualifications

¡  Prior experience as a Payroll Manager.

¡  Delivery and management of UK payroll is required alongside at least one other country in continental Europe.

¡  Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and pay labour laws in at least two of countries we operate in.

¡  Familiarity with payroll and People systems and software, such as SAP or ADP and Workday

¡  Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.

¡  Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external partners.

¡  Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience in team management.

¡  Experience in data analysis and reporting.

¡  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

¡  Experience within a professional services organisation would be preferred but is not essential.
