L.E.K. Consulting is seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on and versatile Analytics Specialist to be part of the recently established European Data & Analytics team based at L.E.K.’s London office. This contractor role would be for an initial six month period with the possibility to extend.

The opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for the provision of on-the-ground support to project teams for quantitative analytical work:

  • Provide ‘superuser’ support to cases, for example by advising on model specification, workflow design, providing technical problem solving capabilities and providing QC of complex analysis
  • Support the deployment of standardised analytic modules on projects (i.e. helping new users to run and extend workflows)
  • Provide guidance to senior consulting staff (e.g., which tools and modules to apply to a project or pitch)

You will also support the overall development of analytical capability within the firm through a broad range of activities including:

  • Leading the development of standardised analytic modules, by designing and executing new modules as well as identifying modules of analysis from live projects that could be standardised
  • Leading the development of a library of analytic data sources (both public and proprietary)
  • Support the development of L.E.K.’s analytic IP (e.g., predictive analytics, geospatial analysis, pricing analysis) by developing primers on specific topics
  • Capturing analytic and technical learnings from projects by holding post-case debriefs with teams
  • Upskilling Associate ‘data & analytics secondees’ as they join the team
  • Leading technical training sessions for Associates and Consultants

What we are looking for

  • Significant experience of Alteryx and Tableau
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Good knowledge of data design and modelling
  • Fantastic analytic problem solving
  • Strong communicator
  • Good commercial awareness
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • A strong degree in a relevant discipline
