People Operations and Engagement at L.E.K.

Our People Operations and Engagement team are responsible for ensuring that L.E.K. is a great place to work – one where everyone has an inspiring, sustainable career within a collaborative and inclusive culture. The team are responsible for the employee experience from day one and are focused on developing equitable policies, guidance and People support across the region.

Job Description

As part of the European People team, the People Specialist will look after HR processes and be a first point of contact for candidate and employee queries across all five capability pillars, as required; currently this position is limited to one year to provide cover during a parental leave. 

Working pattern: Full time with flexible and hybrid working available (2-3 days per week in the office) .

Guidance and support

Key contact for candidates and employees

  • Providing guidance and HR support for all employees with support from regional People Directors
  • Working with the People Director to develop local employment policy and legal frameworks
  • In partnership with the wider People team, develop tools and processes to enhance and support a high-performance culture and employee engagement
  • Can triage and escalate issues to senior People leaders as required
  • Develop relationships with Partners and stakeholders in Poland and across our regional sectors.
  • Provide ad-hoc administration support to all areas of the People function (Recruitment, L&D and Strategy) if demand is high

Administration

  • Execution of administration including employment contracts and letters, new joiner forms employee change letters, onboarding for new starters, off boarding for leavers
  • Data entry ensuring candidate and employee records are up to date
  • Completing reference requests
  • Support for payroll entry with support from the finance team and People Director
  • Trigger performance reviews and support performance management processes

Process and Systems

System/Database management - ensuring our People systems and processes are updated to reflect any changes in real time, ensuring our data is accurate at all times.

  • HR (in-house people database) – personal details, new joiners, career moves, salary and bonus changes, employee benefits cover, initiating leavers etc.
  • SAP by Design – employee and time records
  • Liaising with IT for security access set up for specific roles
  • Upload people related documentation into SeLEKt.HR – e.g. passport copy, CV, contract, contract change documentation, background verification check outcomes, fit to work notes and documentation, other HR documents as required.
  • Track and report on Right to Work documentation (passport & visa expiry)
  • Initiate links for new joiners and manage compliance sign-off of key L.E.K. policies
  • Coordinate with IT, Facilities, and any other relevant stakeholders for the return of equipment, cancellation of security pass etc.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in an HR or People related role with knowledge of Polish labour law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Polish and English
  • Evidence of a collaborative working style - recognises the value and responsibility of working in a team and seeks to maintain and build effective relationships both internally and externally
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated, passion for seeking opportunities and self-development.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong Microsoft skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Desirable

  • Professional services experience
  • Experience in using, updating, and reporting from an HRIS system
  • German, French and/or Spanish (C1/2 level)
