L.E.K. Team:  

Being part of the wider European Finance team, the Finance Manager will work closely with Munich and Wroclaw finance teams.

 

What we are looking for:  

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who will oversee and drive our Finance organization in Germany and Poland.

 

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will demonstrate capability in financial accounting, reporting, matters of French taxation and team management. Your team will have ownership of the group management and statutory accounts reported under IFRS, as well as for the local statutory accounts under local GAAP. You will lead a team responsible for compliance with all local tax filings, payments and reporting, including those for partners. In addition, you will provide commercial Finance support to the partners and to the Regional Commercial Finance Director. Together with Group Finance, you will undertake continuous review of processes to ensure they are best in class and provide appropriate levels of financial control.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated to play an active part in the global and regional teams who are making this happen and will be comfortable communicating with colleagues across all levels of the function.

Specific skills: 

  • Degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of >2 years in a similar role – leading a German Finance team in a multinational organization
  • Excellent knowledge in IFRS and German GAAP
  • Good knowledge in German tax (e.g. VAT, Corporate tax, payroll tax)
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Good knowledge of SAP Business ByDesign
  • Strong communication and people management & development skills
  • Ability to translate financial information into business language
  • Hands-on and experienced in dynamic and fast-growing environment
  • Highly motivated to continuously improve our finance processes and IT

Responsibilities:

  • Drives the professionalization of Finance, Accounting, Tax and its corresponding processes and IT-systems within a fast-growing consulting company working with Group and regional teams
  • Leads and develops a team of four Accountants (two in Munich, two in India)
  • Oversees Accounts Payable, Time & Expense, Banking and Accounts Receivable
  • Oversees and performs the correct and timely recording of business transactions within the General Ledger (e.g. General Accounting, InterCompany, Fixed Assets, Accruals, etc.) and ensures a proper reconciliation of material accounts
  • Manages the respective tax aspects (e.g. VAT, Corporate tax, payroll tax)
  • Prepares and reviews statutory and IFRS financial statements in-time/in-quality and ensures a timely reporting of financial and tax information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Drives the (yearly) audit of financial statements and tax
  • Prepares the weekly/monthly management reporting (e.g. cash position, revenues, work-in-progress, overdues, etc.) and takes pro-actively actions to improve our company performance
  • Establishes and owns the yearly budget and quarterly forecasts for both locations Poland and Munich
  • Focus on the continuous improvement of our Working Capital (e.g. overdues, supplier payments, work-in-progress)
  • Establishes and owns the quarterly Cashflow forecast
  • Manages the relationship to external service provider (e.g. tax, payroll, Polish statutory reporting, etc.)
