Job Summary

 

Reporting the Global Chief Talent Officer and Partner, the People Director will operate as a strategic leader and business partner for all Core Services (CS) functions globally.  The People Director is a business partner to our CS Leadership Team including the CFO, CIO, CMO, and other global leaders.  Working in partnership with senior leaders, they will facilitate the development of talent strategies for the unique workforces and ensure adequate alignment across the CS teams.  The People Leader CS will collaborate with local and regional People Teams on delivery and operational process (e.g., recruiting, payroll, etc.).  This role will be part of the global People Leadership Team and work with Regional Chief People Officers (CPOs) to deliver strategic L.E.K.-wide talent programs. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Talent Planning

  • Develop multi-year talent strategies for each CS team in partnership with CS leadership teams that define future (1-3 year) talent capabilities and workforce requirements
  • Facilitate the design and maintain the organizational designs across Core Services (CS) teams
  • Define career levels and grading structures for the CS teams individualized for workforce requirements and harmonized across the CS teams as appropriate
  • Put in place processes and governance for managing CS headcount and people-related spend working in partnership with Global Finance and CS leaders

 

Performance & Reward

  • Implement goal setting, calibration, and feedback processes to be used across Core Services (CS) teams
  • Maintain compensation job grading and external benchmarking practices using a methodology that enables senior leadership and local People Teams to execute
  • Coach and guide CS leaders in compensation and performance management topics

 

Career & Learning Development

  • Define Core Services (CS) competency frameworks for each team and detailed competency definitions aligned with CS job grading
  • Deploy career development and planning approach across CS teams, managers and leaders
  • Design and deliver the CS learning strategy, curriculum and sourcing of content
  • Oversee delivery of CS learning and development through a network of internal and external providers

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior People Team leaders in setting strategy, People Team operating model and delivery standards, and implementing transformational change across the People function
  • Serve as on the ground point of contact for Core Services (CS) leaders on employee related matters; and work with local/in-country People Teams for resolution processes
  • Work with local/in-country senior People Teams to communicate HR standards, procedures and policies for CS teams
  • Ensure CS employee onboarding experiences, including background checks, processing new hire paperwork and orientation is conducted by local People Teams
  • Ensure CS employee exit process and separation paperwork are delivered by local People Teams

 

 

Requirements:

  • Related People Director leadership experience, within a consulting or wider professional services environment (ideally 5 -10 years)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven experience of designing and delivering Global HR projects (talent development, compensation and job grades)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high caliber and dynamic environment
  • Outstanding relationship management and client service focus
  • Great organizational skills – able to organize a varied workload, prioritize effectively and keep stakeholders updated as appropriate
  • Very Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, independent judgement and be a self-starter while also being a strong team player
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • The position will require travel to other L.E.K. offices
