Digital Marketing Director

The Digital Marketing Director is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing the overall digital marketing strategy and all digital properties/marketing technologies of L.E.K. Consulting (except for CRM). The Director will have primary responsibility for driving constant improvement of our global website, as well as managing the web agency relationship, social media, analytics tracking and reporting, and monitoring brand standards and usage. The successful candidate has experience managing a website content management system (CMS); has an eye for user experience and design best practices; demonstrates technical web knowledge and expertise; and is an innovative and detail-oriented individual with project management skills. The Digital Marketing Director is based in the firm’s Boston office and reports to L.E.K.’s Head of U.S. Marketing. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and implement all digital marketing initiatives, including website enhancements, SEO/SEM strategies and tactics, and all social media programs
  • Responsible for managing, guiding, training digital marketing team members
  • Manage L.E.K.’s global corporate website and microsites via the CMS, including making proactive recommendations to continuously optimize the user experience and online marketing performance
  • Collaborate with senior leadership of the marketing team and the firm to communicate and advocate for best practices and strategies that align with marketing goals
  • Partner with regional and sector marketers to develop and execute campaigns across digital marketing channels, performing in accordance with industry best practices
  • Maintain a website road map as a framework to field and prioritize global website change requests
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners to enhance L.E.K.’s digital offerings
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Lead internal team to plan social media strategy and social media advertising campaigns
  • Identify trends and insights to inform new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests on digital properties
  • Lead internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end user experience across multiple channels and client touch points
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including marketing automation, social media, sales enablement, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Collaborate with marketing managers on optimizing digital marketing campaign rollouts following best practices within the industry

 

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required. Web technology certifications a plus
  • Seven to ten years’ proven experience in digital marketing and working in a fast-paced marketing environment, in an agency, B2B or professional services organization
  • Experience managing a global, multi-language B2B website via CMS, including preference for experience using Drupal and Wordpress
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, including managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience using project management software a plus
  • Experience developing strategies for and executing campaign across digital marketing channels, performing in accordance with industry best practices
  • Experience leveraging integrated marketing automation/CRM for optimal marketing use and performance
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS development and constraints
  • Experience using Google Analytics and other web analytics tools
  • Expertise in marketing automation; Pardot experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of CRM technologies; Salesforce experience a plus
  • Familiarity with digital and social network management and analytics tools, and ability to stay current on new web technologies and trends
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Understanding of best practice brand management, and an eye for detail and compliance
  • Experience with other online marketing initiatives such as SEO, paid search advertising, A/B testing, multivariate experiments and website personalization
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign a plus
