Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of HCS current events and how those translate into points of buyer interest that may generate demand for meetings, proposals and projects
  • Track executive movement within  the healthcare space, opportunistically using changes as opportunities to  interface with leaders in transition
  • Compile and maintain a  prioritized overall list of target firms / executives within Healthcare Services – the target list
  • Identify high priority prospects for targeted client development activities within key sub-sectors (Payers, Provider, HCIT, etc.)
  • Build networks for the firm by, among other things, taking advantage of second and third-level contacts to  generate referrals to additional decision-makers (i.e. figure out referral      networks to tap)
  • Conduct sub-sector-specific campaigns to expand the base of potential buyers and ensure that MDs attend meetings and phone calls with decision-makers
  • Monitor the level and type of engagement with HCS project buyers at target firms (e.g., meetings, calls, reading EIs, proposals, hot leads)
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts to facilitate ongoing improvement
  • Identify opportunities to expand  L.E.K. awareness and intent to purchase among buyers at target firms
  • Balance the workload among MDs to ensure strong, effective and consistent outreach efforts

Required Skills

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Major in Economics, Life Sciences, Public Health or Business preferred
  • Experience in and passion for Healthcare Services
  • Highly proficient at building interpersonal relationship and developing rapport
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze market data  and client development activities using typical business tools (CRM, Research tools, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) in order to make recommendations
  • Ability to work across all levels of the firm
  • Self-starter / process-oriented
