Contracts Manager

The Contracts Manager will be a member of the L.E.K. in house legal team and play a key role to provide contract services to our internal and external clients. The Contracts Manager will report directly to the General Counsel and be primarily responsible for drafting, editing, negotiating and managing legal documents, including nondisclosure agreements and master agreements across various firm sectors including but not limited to Life Sciences/MedTech, Digital Consumer, Healthcare and Industrials


Responsibilities:

  • Review, negotiate, and finalize client agreements, and ensure delivery of final, agreed upon documents.
  • Assist with drafting agreements, including services agreements, confidentiality agreements, and letters of engagement.
  • Draft and prepare contracts templates.
  • Track contract renewals.
  • Coordinate RFP responses and maintain standards for RFPs.
  • Manage database of corporate contracts.
  • Liaison with accounting and case teams regarding maintenance of client standards.
  • Review any client requested revisions to agreements and advise internal team regarding such requested modifications.
  • Manage quality control on standard terms and conditions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and JD required from a renowned school with outstanding academic achievement
  • 3+ years of direct experience negotiating contracts
  • Experience in professional services firm preferred
  • Detail oriented with excellent judgment, being able to partner with our clients to reach mutually agreed upon solutions
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, appropriately escalating issues when needed 
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team based environment
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task, incorporating good organizational skills and flexibility, to prioritize work and deliver a the maximum business value
  • Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations, and have experience working with contracts databases
