Job title: Knowledge Management, APAC Lead

Location: Mumbai, India

 

Knowledge Management (KM) plays a key role in supporting L.E.K’s ability to deliver outstanding results for our clients. KM is critical to capture the best of our consulting staff’s individual and collective expertise and to make it available to the broader firm, which will have a direct impact on the sales, marketing and delivery capability of the firm. In this new role, the KM APAC Lead will focus on two primary responsibilities:

  1. The KM APAC Lead will help establish a KM capability in the Mumbai office. The KM APAC Lead will work closely with L.E.K.’s global Director of KM and the broader global KM team to establish a high-performing KM team and its capabilities. Focus will be on the Asia Pac region with support eventually extending to other regions.
  2. The KM APAC Lead will also support the development and delivery of intellectual property (IP) content. The KM APAC Lead will work closely with sector heads and case teams to capture, package and deliver IP. In the initial phase, focus will be on the healthcare sector, expanding to additional in-scope sectors.

Responsibilities

  1. Establishing the KM capability:
  • Understand the KM landscape at L.E.K. and its vision
  • Work closely with the Global Director of KM to execute on the KM strategy including the ramp up of the KM function in Mumbai
  • Assist in recruitment of Mumbai-based KM team members; provide training, oversight and coaching to those members
  • Manage KM priorities to deliver against business objectives
  • Identify and recommend any changes or improvements to existing KM programs, processes and systems to improve overall KM performance and efficiencies
  • Stay current with latest trends and innovations in the Knowledge Management space

 

  1. Developing IP:
  • Coordinate across sector and KM team to identify sector knowledge priorities and work as a team to capture and codify materials
  • Identify and capture key information from client development and case team efforts including industry insights, strategic frameworks, case examples, tools and templates
  • Capture and process knowledge onto our global practice areas sites on the L.E.K. intranet ensuring most recent tools, templates, insights and knowledge assets are represented and shared; identify content gaps
  • Help develop credentials/materials on key topics across select sectors to support client development and sales & marketing efforts
  • Provide value-added front-line support to case teams by providing guidance to curated best in class content and equipping case teams with relevant expertise and resource recommendations
  • Acts as a champion for KM and promote continued enhancements in process, content, and IP best practices across the firm
  • Boost awareness of KM tools and resources and help staff understand knowledge sharing expectations and policies
  • Create and package content and insights in a manner consistent with L.E.K.’s standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred with strong academic credentials
  • Experience in professional services firm preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading Knowledge Management projects
  • Experience understanding and articulating knowledge management vision, issues and challenges
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker with a bias for action
  • Self-starting, intellectually curious, comfortable working autonomously while appreciating guided coaching and collaborative teaming
  • Business process and project management experience
  • Enthusiasm for applying innovative approaches to KM
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • The ability to engage with stakeholders across borders, time zones and at all levels of the business
  • Energy, enthusiasm and drive to create a positive working relationship with the business and the team
  • Track record of high performance and follow-through in a global organization
  • Ability to multi-task, incorporating good organizational skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Attentive to detail – known for high-quality work
  • Experience providing supervision to team members and coaching others to strong performance
  • Experience with KM technologies including SharePoint
  • Proven technical awareness and commercial astuteness
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 suite
  • Exposure and experience in healthcare sector preferred
