Overview:

The Consultant role is at the core of our case team structure. Consultants work closely up and down the case team with Associates, Managers, Principals, and Partners. Our case team structure provides Consultants with a unique opportunity to manage a team of Associates from day one. Consultants own key issues or modules of work. They have primary responsibility for breaking down and analyzing the client's strategic issues, running and overseeing data gathering and analyses, developing recommendations, and communicating those recommendations to Partners and the client. They also support Partners and Principals on proposal writing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Partners and Managers to identify and define key business issues
  • Structure analyses and approaches to answer these critical questions and test hypotheses
  • Oversee data gathering to populate analysis
  • Manage the team’s day-to-day activities
  • Ensure the team is on track to accurately solve the problem and deliver an answer
  • Develop junior team members by guiding and teaching them core consulting craft skills

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Native Japanese speaker with business level English
  • 4 years of relevant industry or functional work experience showing progressive promotion and achievement
  • Exceptional analytical skills; comfort in a quantitative environment
  • Possession of outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Project management and team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment
  • A commitment to client service
  • Experience in a professional services environment
  • An advanced degree, such as a MBA, MS, or PhD is preferred
