Recruiting Manager - China

Position Overview:

The Recruiting Manager oversees the firm’s recruiting efforts for its China practice. The overarching responsibilities are to attract, source, and hire the best talent in the market to meet L.E.K. China’s growth agenda.

  • China Managing Director responsible for recruiting

  • Consulting and Core Services team members in China
  • Global Chief Talent Officer

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruiting of experienced hires for Consulting and Core Services teams to ensure L.E.K. attracts the top talents from China and overseas
  • Manage campus recruiting programs for entry-level Associates (university graduates), Consultants (MBA graduates), and the corresponding summer intern programs
  • Organize and support recruiting-related promotion programs and events at target universities and business schools
  • Develop sourcing and hiring approaches and plans in consultation with China leadership
  • Develop regular progress and feedback reports, and communicate on a timely basis to China leadership
  • Manage online application programs and external partners
  • Identify and screen pre-qualified candidates
  • Set up and follow up on tests and interviews with appropriate candidates
  • Coordinate with interviewers and provide support as needed
  • Monitor and track candidate pipeline in accordance to business requirements
  • Draft, extend and communicate job offers
  • Manage employment contracting and prepare on-boarding procedures
  • Capture informal competitor intelligence and share within HR team (e.g., competitor recruiting activities, compensation benchmarks)
  • Coordinate with global recruiting and human capital team members as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-8 years of recruiting leadership experience with a professional services firm, preferably with some consulting firm experience
  • Track record of engaging senior leadership and keen sense of customer service to both China leadership and candidates
  • Demonstrated ability to drive / innovate recruitment strategy and processes to align to corporate objectives
  • Analytical, detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint tools
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player
