HR Coordinator

Melbourne

We are currently looking for the next person to join our team in the role of Human Resources Coordinator.

To help you work out if this is the right role for you, I'll share with you some background on the team, our future plans and what I'm looking for in this role.

I've recently joined L.E.K. to head up the Talent team in Australia and New Zealand.  On joining L.E.K. it was made clear that there was a readiness for me to establish a team of talented high performing HR professionals who can deliver best practice solutions, but also importantly innovate, drive change and transform the function as we grow our business.  In other organisations, you are constrained by structure and systems or 'the way it has always been done', but they are truly willing for us to challenge the status quo.

We are a small close knit team, but have the benefit of being part of a global organisation where we have the opportunity to work on global projects and leverage our global talent counterparts.  It's a professional services environment, so we work hard and produce results of a high standard, but we have a lot of fun in the process.

Life is for living, so I will work with you to make sure you have the flexibility to allow time for all important areas of your life.  You will have the freedom to work the way that you work best. Beyond trusting my team to manage their own areas, I let people run with things but am always around should you need my support.

About the role

This role has been created to sit in the Melbourne office, where you will be integral in supporting all operational and administrative processes.  This is a varied generalist role where you will have exposure to all areas of the employee life cycle and get the opportunity to drive new HR initiatives that are at the forefront of innovation.

This role would be suited well to someone who is professional, has an appetite to learn, service oriented with strong attention to detail and who is passionate about delivering the best possible employee experience.

You'll be set up for success in this role if you're coming out of a relevant degree with some experience within a corporate environment, as you will be able to genuinely hit the ground running.  However, don't think you have to tick every box, just tell me in your cover letter where your strengths lie and where you might need support.

The position is initially for six months with the view to permanency, so we are looking for applications from those who have work rights in Australia and the interest for working at L.E.K. long term.

What you'll do

This role is responsible for providing generalist and administrative support including:

  • Managing the employee life cycle process (contract creation, onboarding, departure process).
  • Supporting both the Sydney and Melbourne office with graduate campus recruitment and other recruitment.
  • Administering the benefit program at L.E.K.
  • Updating the HRIS ensuring data integrity.
  • Contribute to strategic HR projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare reports.

Why L.E.K Consulting?

Not only will you be surrounded by a team of high performers, you will have access to health benefits, flexible working practices, global projects and profit share. Our offices are very collegiate with regular social outings, internal events and fitness activities for anyone who wants to get involved. This opportunity is closed to applications.
