We are actively seeking driven and inquisitive final-year students to become part of our dynamic and high-achieving teams in Melbourne and Sydney in 2025.

The Associate Role:

A career in management consulting begins as an Associate.

At L.E.K., Associates are pivotal to our project teams and strategic analysis. From the outset, you'll have significant responsibility and ownership of your assigned work and work life. This involves gathering, analysing, and synthesizing research and data to deliver tangible value and foster growth for the client. L.E.K.'s project work is diverse, spanning tasks such as shaping perspectives on future markets, constructing valuation models for companies, and contributing to transformation projects. The role exposes you to various industries, providing insights into a broad spectrum of business operations.

Why join L.E.K.?

  • Shorter project cycles– At L.E.K. you’ll experience rapid development due to our projects typically being shorter than other firms (around 4-6 weeks on average), meaning exposure to more clients, strategic challenges, industries, and teams.
  • Breadth of experience – Our expertise spans multiple industries, encompassing a diverse portfolio of projects in Strategy, Transactions, Organisation and Performance, as well as Major Capital Projects Advisory.
  • Professional development – Our commitment to your professional development extends beyond a two-week orientation and involves fortnightly learning clinics and a monthly training day – ‘Back to the Office Day’, offering a carefully crafted curriculum for ongoing skill and knowledge enhancement.
  • Upward Mobility– With an entrepreneurial culture and frequent feedback, we facilitate a clear, three-role pathway from Associate to Consultant, and offer competitive leadership development opportunities, enabling our Associates to grow their toolkits in the early years of their career.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with Partners and senior clients on a day-to-day basis, resulting in ongoing and rapid learning opportunities.
  • Fun, stimulating work environment– L.E.K. teams spend substantially more time in their home office relative to other consulting firms, and we pride ourselves on a vibrant social culture facilitated through our various committees including Ministry of Fun, Women in Business, Community Engagement Committee, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and more.
