Resourcing and Reporting Manager

L.E.K. Australia is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the Resource and Reporting Manager role.  This role is arguably one of the most important roles within the firm, as you will partner with the business as a trusted advisor, to lead strategic operational decisions concerning management of the workforce.  You will strategically schedule and forward plan resources and engagements, so we are able to mobilise talent quickly.  You will also assist the business by providing a balance between its decisions that impact our people, our clients and our operational performance.   Ultimately, the aim is to have the right people scheduled on the right projects, balancing their abilities along with opportunities for development whilst incorporating our growth agenda and profitability.  You will also be responsible for building the reporting capability of the HR team to ensure that we are able to measure core Talent metrics and also demonstrate ROI for key initiatives.


What you’ll do

 

  • Strategic oversight of resource and engagement planning including; strategic clients, major new wins/proposals, top talent, engagement, etc
  • Monitor and advise senior stakeholders of resourcing trends and issues which may impact business productivity and the ability to staff potential case work
  • Promote cross border utilisation by proactively deploying Australian staff to overseas L.E.K. offices to meet their demand and optimise Australian business performance
  • Talent pool management – Actively manage staff by meeting regularly to understand their own individual capabilities, experience and developmental goals.
  • Contribute to headcount forecast and workforce planning
  • Identify, prepare, analyse and deliver reports including dashboards, utilisation rates and case mix rations,
  • Identify opportunities for HR metric reporting and develop the reports or build the capability in our existing technology to be able to run the reports
  • Leverage and optimise our existing technology, making this work for us.
  • Review external salary benchmarks and provide advice on salaries
  • Prepare business cases and reports for key initiatives

 

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ resource management experience in a similar professional service organisation is preferred by not mandatory.
  • Experience using Resource Management/workforce planning databases
  • Strong track record of achieving results and high performance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solutions focus with exceptional problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Exceptional relationship and influencing skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter 
  • Emotional maturity and resilience
  • Advanced Excel
  • Able to interpret and understand metrics and financial information such as utilisation
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Advanced report writing capability
  • Chris21 super user preferred but not required

     

     

Your demonstrable experience working closely with senior business leaders in a professional services environment and results driven nature will see you succeed in this role.

 

The position can be based in either our Melbourne or Sydney office with a slight preference for Melbourne.
