Overview of Finance Manager
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance across the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights as well as engage and provide recommendations to our senior leadership.
This role will require the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders as well as interact and build trusted relationships across all levels of the firm, including our global Finance team.
Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to develop accurate and achievable financial plans
- Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term strategic planning initiatives
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to senior leadership, highlighting key performance metrics and trends
- Engage in proposal process to ensure sound case economics
- Explore new pricing structures to expand client delivery
- Create and manage new performance metrics for new product offerings
- Conduct variance analysis to track performance against budget/forecast and identify key drivers of financial performance
- Provide insightful commentary and analysis on financial results, identifying risks and opportunities to drive business growth
- Implement standardized reporting processes to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across the organization
- Collaborate with department heads and business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide support in decision-making process
- Work closely with People and HR functions to ensure alignment and consistency as new policies and ways of working emerge
- Help in preparation of ad-hoc analytical exercises that unlock insights
- Conduct detailed analysis of cash flow drivers, trends, and variances to identify areas for improvement and mitigate cash flow risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably in a corporate FP&A role
- Experience in professional services firm preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
- Proven experience in building and synthesizing complex driver-based financial and forecasting models
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., PowerBI) a plus
- Experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, enabling you to leverage large datasets for financial insights and reporting
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Candidate should possess the ability to analyze complex situations, have proven negotiation abilities, and strong decision-making skills
- Candidate must be comfortable dealing with highly confidential information and situations
- Individual should have experience working closely with senior management and supporting multiple internal clients
- Ideal candidate will have superior written and verbal skills
- Candidate will possess superior organizational skills, creative problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
